When it comes to ethics in research, I believe the nurse plays a large role in implementation. For a nurse, the number one priority is the safety of the patients. It is a nurses role to make sure that no harm is done to the patient. Not only is this an important role for nurses, it is also important for them to make sure that the patients are benefiting from the research. They must make sure that the risks do not outweigh the benefits.
